It has been announced that High School Musical 4 WILL BE RELEASED.
They are writing the script for it already and it will start filming later this year.
"Will we have all the old cast back? No. Will we have some? I hope so." said the director, Kenny Ortega.

yes, there is a HSM3 & it's coming out this year around about october. originally, HSM3 was going to be called Haunted HSM but they realized that it didn't seem like such a good idea so they changed it to be about the wildcats senior year at east high. The cast will start filming the movie on the 21st of April 08. the filming is also setting place in Utah just like the first two as well as the music has already started to form. it is expected to finish the filming on the 13th of June.
Is Vanessa Hudgens still gonna star as Gabriella in the movie after her photo scandal?
yes, she will still be in the movie after the scandal. it had been said that Adrienne Bailon form the Cheetah Girls would be replacing vanessa to be Gabriella but Diseny had changed it's mind. they said that vanessa had apologized & have learned her lesson, as well as the fact the she is a role model to young girls who would be upset & not as excited to see the movie cause their favourite star isn't in it.
HSM3 is rated PG for the first time & will star vanessa hudgens as gabriella. it will appear in the thearters this time instead of disney channel.
